In a multidiscliplinary installation essay poetry piece, director and dramatist Jenni Kinnunen explores her relationship with the forest and the forest industry. In September 2023, the parts of the work stretched to two toilets and one power plant. The work also lives on in the essays of the cultural magazine Kaltio.
The work was experienced at the Oulu Arts Night on August 17, 2023, and at the Muhos Lifestyle Festival on September 2, 2023, and at Seitenoikea hydropower plant on a tour offered by Fortum on September 14, 2023, during the afternoon. The tour and performance could accommodate max. 15 person. Free entry

My father worked for 42 years at Varkaus paper mills. During that time, the names on the backs of work jackets changed several times: A. Ahlström, Enso-Gutzeit, Stora Enso. Father walked his life side by side with the Finnish forest industry. The prosperity of the reconstruction period slowly turned into a unhurried decay that progressed like memory disorder. Were the first signs already present in the 80s or even earlier? Where did the forest industry come from and where is it going?
