Laura Heikkilä is a pianist and repetiteur, born in Oulu, Finland. She holds a MMus in Repetiteurship in opera from The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland a master’s degree in piano performance from The Conservatoire of Verona, Italy. In addition she has studied conducting and opera directing. Her studies have been supported by The Paulo Foundation.
She has worked in London (British Youth Opera) and in Brussels (The Royal Flemish Conservatoire) and with companies such as Scottish Opera, Saluzzo Opera Academy, Clyde Opera Group, Oulu Symphony Orchestra, Oulu Theatre and Lapland Chamber Orchestra.
Currently she is teaching piano at The Northeastern Lapland Music Institute and is a board member organising the annual Rovaniemi Chamber Music Festival. She has worked for the Northern Opera Company since 2017.
